Short film
In this category may participate any proyect relating to archaeological and historical topics. The Projects will be limitated at a maximun time of 30 minutes. May be presented in any language. All those films wich aren’t made in Spanish must be
presented with the corresponding subtitles.

Documentary
In this category may participate any proyect relating to archaeological and historical
topics. The Proyects will last more than 30 minutes and not more of 90 minutes. May
be presented in any language. All those films wich aren’t made in Spanish must be
presented with the corresponding subtitles.

Participation criteria
Any person, public or private entity can take part in the festival as long as they are
consistent with the criteria and rules.
The projects submitted should not previously have been involved in other editions of this event. The basic idea is to represent the diffusion of historical and archaeological themes and its impact nowadays. Therefore, only will be admitted projects realized in the last five years.
Film projects can be sent by:

In addition it will need to provide an annex (INFORMATION SHEET)with the
following information:
- PROJECT TITLE
- NAME OF THE AUTHOR OR ENTITY
- CITY OR PROVINCE
- PRODUCER (if it had it)
- PRODUCTION TEAM
- PRODUCTION SITE
- LANGUAGE
- DURATION
- PRODUCTION DATE
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION IN YOUR LANGUAGE(no more than five lines)
- BRIEF DESCRIPTION IN SPANISH(no more than five lines)
- POSTAL ADDRESS
- CONTACT PHONE
- PICTURE (.PNG, 16:9 format, minimum size 1148x646px) WHICH IS USED FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE WORK
Finally, it will be delivered a presentation video of the authors with a maximum length of 2 minutes and landscape mode. By doing that, we intend to get a better approach to creators. Also they can take advantage of introduce and present their projects.
Delivery will be made with the main project and the information annex to:

The organization will deliver the official paper of participation at the film festival to participants who request it days after of the prize giving.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 30/06/2021
All projects, both documentaries and short films, opt for two types of awards:
- AUDIENCE AWARDS
- FESTIVAL AWARD
Audience Award
(5-30 July 2021)
After the final date for delivery (30 June 2021), projects will be made public on the official YouTube channel (From 5 to 30 July 2021), where the audience will be able to see it for the selection of ‘’the public award’’. The vote will take place via YouTube:

The winning Project will be that gets the most ”likes” and will be screened in the final phase of the Festival (Main Theather of Zamora). The audience award-giving will take place the 28th day of november at the Main Theater of Zamora.

(26, 27 and 28 November 2021)
After the final date (30 June 2020) all projects concurse within the Festival Award into the categories of: short film and documentary film.
A jury of heritage professionals, cinema and archaeology select the four short films and four documentaries finalists which will be screened in the final phase of V Archaeological Film Festival of Castilla y León in 26, 27 and 28 November 2021 at the Main Theater of Zamora.
Documentaries and short films will be screened at the Main Theater during the three days of the final phase. After the last screening the jury will meet to deliberate and decided ”The festival’s awards”.

2º Short Film Award: 250€ + Silver Viriate

Audience Award: 500€ + Golden Viriate
A short video is requested to the finalists who cannot attend the final phase and not have
the option to receive the prize on 28 November 2021 in the city of Zamora. That video
will be screened at the time of the prize giving. The organization will get in touch with
the finalists.
